Learn Mandarin Fast – LMF Programme
Is that possible to learn mandarin fast, but without pain?! … …Yes, you can! ! !
LMF (Learn Mandarin fast ) is an unique program developed to help absolute beginner and learn essential Mandarin in 30 hours. LMF (Learn Mandarin Fast) will enable you to communicate in real life, regardless of whether your purpose is to do business, to travel, or just to study out of interest. The vocabulary used is as ‘everyday’ as we can make it, and we apply it in situations which are common and natural in today’s China. This course maintains the principle of teaching only what is truly essential for a firm grasp of practical, up-to-date Chinese.
It is well classified such as “name and identity”, “figure and amount”, “date and time”, “shopping and asking prices”, “dining and ordering dishes”, “ask the way and taking transport” etc.
The Chinese language branches out into eight major dialects, most of them so far removed from each other that they may be considered separate languages. China has been encouraging everybody to make use of one standard, universal Chinese language. In the West this language is referred to as ‘Mandarin’. In China, we officially refer to it as the Pu-Tong-Hua ‘Universal Language’. It is this language, that we will teach you. One area which we have not covered is the written language.
To learn Chinese characters is time-consuming and laborious because they are not directly connected with speech. Let me explain why: The Chinese writing system frequently does not pretend to represent the sounds of the language. It uses symbols to represent the ideas being spoken, as much as the sounds by which those ideas are expressed. The snag is that while English only needs 26 letters to be able to write everything, no one knows all of the Chinese characters in existence.
To begin with, start your learning of Chinese by discarding some of the ideas which you have about other languages. Don’t look for tenses- there aren’t any; don’t ask how verbs conjugate – they don’t; don’t worry about gender; don’t think about case- nominative, genitive accusative and all the rest of their friends don’t exist in modern Chinese; say goodbye to irregular verbs, gender difference, subjunctives, singulars and plurals.
Chinese has ‘measures’, ‘particles’, and a series of ‘word orders’ which are really like mathematical formulate into which you fit your vocabulary. Sentences do not necessarily have a subject, conditions are always set out before the main business, and in matters of time and place the larger always comes before the smaller (year before month before day; country before city before street before house number). You will find our program easy to absorb and that it is presented in a ‘user-friendly’ manner.
In truth and in fact, Chinese has a simple construction and does not need a lot of grammatical jargon; you don’t have to observe complex technicalities. What occasionally seems to be a grammatical problem is actually a matter of cultural difference. Some of our ‘grammar notes’ will appear more like explanations of the Chinese culture which you will gradually come to understand better as the course proceeds. What often alarms the beginner is the fact that Chinese sings its sounds in four different ‘tones’. Don’t be afraid, it’s a problem soon overcome. Tones are important.
However, Chinese has a very restricted sound range (only about 400 different sounds). Even so, the limited number means that many words have to share a sound. English, with a much larger sound range, does not escape the problem- think of to, too, and two, or pare, pair and pear- Chinese usually has more than three ‘homophones’. Most Chinese words consists of one syllable; and an elementary dictionary of Chinese has no compound polysyllabic words, thus misunderstanding is avoided. Our program begins with the study of pronunciation and an explanation of the tone system which you will find easy to absorb and fascinating.
At the beginning of each session, you should spend 20 minutes recalling what you learned the day before. When you study a conversation, say it out loud if possible, try to think and understand even while you are mechanically repeating sounds. The exercises are designed to ensure that you remember what you have read and can apply it immediately. Our accelerated teaching system will greatly help to shorten the time you spend memorizing.
Congratulations! You are about to become one of that small number of foreigners who can converse with Chinese. And so, without further delay, let’s get going. If you conscientiously follow our program and spend the required time, you will be able to communicate in Chinese with just 30 hours of training.

L’Art du Français (The Art of French)
French is one of the most commonly learned foreign languages, and it’s easy to see why. Often described as the ‘language of love’, the very sound of this soft and rhythmic language can transport you straight to the heart of Provence. That said, French is also an important player in the international sphere of commerce and politics and as such can be a very useful language to know.
We offers a variety of French courses to suit all needs. Our native speaker qualified French language teachers can train you at our / your office or home at a time to suit you.
No matter what your particular needs from learning French, our general one-on-one French courses in Singapore will help immensely. The practical needs of the student are always the course’s priority – once the basic elements have been studied, the direction of the course depends on what will be useful for the student. Whether you are planning a trip abroad, or need to pass a specific French examination, our general courses provide enough survival French to get by in a French speaking country as well as catering to specific needs.
- French basic level – beginner
- French level 1
- French level 2
- French level 3
- French intermediate level
- French level 4
- French level 5
- French advanced level
Business French : If your employer requires or recommends that you take a French course in Singapore, our one-on-one French courses are just the thing. Once the basics have been dealt with – that is, customary greetings and corporate etiquette – the student’s specific needs are taken into account, together with exercises in reading and writing. Those who have completed our beginner business French course can expect to have gained ample telephone and email skills to communicate with ease in French, as well as survival French, necessary for effective communication during short trips to countries where the native language is French.
Our French courses are also available for small groups studying together (Two-to-One French Course or In-Company Small Group French Course). All participants must have the same language needs, be able to study at the same time at the same place and be at the same level. All participants should be booked at the same time. Language Trainers do not recommend group classes of more than 8 students although we can run In-Company Taster French Courses with up to 12 people. Invite your friends or family members to join you to learn French if you want to learn French in small group now!
On the other hand, did you know that if you already know English, you are already aware of 30% of the French vocabulary? This statement is so true but how many French teachers are basing their lessons on that fact? We know that most French teachers are certainly great French native speakers and they obviously know a great deal about pedagogy regarding French as a foreign language. However, what do they truly know about English and how can they be aware of the similarities that exists between English and French?
After years of experience teaching French as a foreign language and collaborating with some of the most popular French language centers in Singapore, we are also aware that most French teachers will teach you French their ’school’s way’, or French speaker = French teacher, French using methods and books that are often not suitable to the students’ needs or requirements. Hence, these schools and language centers offer no flexibility in their classes schedule. The reason is simple: it is more profitable for them to merge you in a group instead of teaching you one-to-one. However, would that be more profitable for you?
